
PSA
(Professional Skaters Association)
The PSA is an International organization responsible for the education of skating coaches. Membership is offered to coaches in every discipline and at all levels, as well as, to performing professionals, judges, eligible skaters and friends or patrons of the sport of figure skating.

Rated coaches have taken exams through the PSA to continue their education in the field of figure skating. The PSA Official Rating System is for coaches who wish to validate their skating skill and teaching experience. Ratings are an assurance to clubs, rinks, skaters, parents and the general public that the coach they hire is technically qualified to instruct at the level in which they are rated. Rating levels are offered at a basic accreditation level, and then in several disciplines at a registered, certified, senior and master level.
**PSA Ranking:
Rankings are becoming recognized worldwide. The career coaching record of a PSA member is established only through the accomplishments of a skater under his or her direction. This distinguished ranking is recognized as a lifetime achievement by the entire skating community. Ranking Levels are I-X.
ISI (Ice Skating Institute)
The Ice Skating Institute is an international industry trade association encompassing all aspects of the ice skating industry. It was founded in 1959. ISI encourages participation in ice skating as a recreational sport.
USFS (US Figure Skating)
The United States Figure Skating Association was founded in 1921 and is the official governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States, recognized as such by both the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Skating Union (ISU). Their mission is to provide programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating.
ISU (International Skating Union)
Founding in 1892, the International Skating Union (ISU) is the oldest governing international winter sport federation. With the emergence of international competitions in Speed Skating and Figure Skating, as well as, the forming of skating clubs and of international standards to govern these sports.
